Wednesday

I have a personal bias against fiction books.
The idea of wasting my time to read about the made-up lives of imaginary people has never been super appealing, as of the last 3 years.
However, today I bought a book.
A fictitious book.

I am so proud of myself.

Instead of finding myself lost in the non-fiction/psychology/eastern philosophy/classic poetry section, I found myself eye-to-eye with John Grisham.
Yes. I said it, Emily Smith: John Grisham.
I am reading a pulp-fiction, appeal to the masses, "law" themed book.
And I freaking love it.

Torts, torts, torts, torts.

{I even got to wear my new outfit}
And spend the wonderful afternoon in the temple with my best friends.
:)

Read Advise and Consent by Allen Drury. It won the Pulitzer prize for fiction in 1960. It's very good.

Also read good science fiction; it's the most worthwhile/interesting genre by far.

John Grisham? What the hell is wrong with you? That's an airport book, Wall.

(Also, wtf, how, out of every fictional book in the world, do you end up dropping money on a paperback with a gavel on the front? Because it does, doesn't it? It totally has a gavel on it. Ugh. When I get home, we are going over to your house to play and be stupid some night, and I will give you a GOOD book.)
