Tomorrow, tomorrow; I {don't} love ya. Tomorrow. You're always. A. Day. *gasp*. A. Way.

Just so you don't think I'm being completely over-dramatic about how crazy this test is, read my best friend, Erika's, blog break-up letter to the LSAT. See. SEE! I am sane.
{Or perhaps we are both just crazy}
How's that for some faulty logic?

PS she copied my picture; I didn't copy hers. Haha.

Let me explain to you, in the simplest jargon I can summon, WHY the LSAT is awful:

1) It is designed so that you inevitably run out of time without finishing. {I finish all my sections..except reading comprehension. PUKE!}

2) Too often you can arguably justify putting A, B, C, D, or E as an answer. Well that doesn't help eliminate anything..

3) You must analyze EVERY single word. "Should" might be switched with "could" in the following premise and welp..there goes your logic if you miss that.

4) If you were to ask me "what's the opposite of hot?" I would invariantly respond "cold". If the LSAT were to ask me that, I would be incorrect in my response. The answer is: "not hot". Assume anything more, and you're hosed. Sounds easy, yeah. But imagine a string of conditions lasting 8 paragraph-lines long, and having to keep that in mind for each premise, whilst simultaneously deducing the main point. Ew.

5) After testing 5 sections back-to-back (with a break between sections 3 and 4) they make you complete a writing sample. Which isn't even graded. Yeaaah way to suck up 35 MORE minutes of my life, whilst killing even more of my brain cells.

6) They switch from percentages to numbers. Those. Beezys. Love. To. Do. This.

7) They discriminate against mechanical pencils. Initially, I was perterbed. I felt ousted and ostracized. I was THIS close from taking it up with the ACLU.. all hail the Civil Liberty Union!

..my brain is scrambled eggs.
I want bacon.
That sounds so good.
Greaaaaaat.

Natalie, remember ... you are a rockstar! You can rock this LSAT just like Jimi Hendrix rocked his guitar. Rock on, girl!

I've been secretly reading your blog for a while, but haven't said hi yet. But now I have to say hi, because I feel your LSAT pain. Not personally...but my husband took the LSAT a couple years ago. The torturous hours of studying, the angst over fluctuating scores, the anxiety that builds as the date draws closer. I wish you luck. My husband did not do well. In fact, his final score was the lowest he ever got. I don't tell you this to discourage you. Quite the opposite, in fact. While my husband scored a low score (*151*yikes*), he is currently a 2L at The Ohio State University, which is ranked 30-something. OSU is a great school that we are lucky to be in. So, moral of my increasingly long comment...your LSAT score is the most important number you will ever have, but if it doesn't go well, you are welcome to contact me and I can share my husbands tips and tricks on getting into a top tier law school.

I know we don't know each other personally but I have been reading you delightful blog for awhile. I just had to let you know I have been thinking about you this morning as you are taking the LSAT. I'm both so nervous and excited for you!
My husband just found out yesterday at 4:45 pm that he passed the Arizona Bar! So I know all the crazy emotions that is involved with every step in the law school process.
As he is ending his journey and you are only beginning yours, I wish you all the luck in the world. You are going to do great and I can't wait to read your law school adventures!
Now go get yourself a huge box of PB oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and pat yourself on the back for accomplishing one of the hardest things in this life...the LSAT. You deserve it!
sorry such a long comment :)
