{This is meant to be ambiguous baha.}

I've been trying to keep an open mind when it comes to the "d word".
Dating, that is.
I mean, it's pretty much crammed down your throat whether you like it or not.
The one complaint I have about living in a Mormon bubble, more or less.
I guess Scottsdale is well outside the Mesa/Gilbert "bubble".
But seeing as I spend 86% of my time there, I feel its influence.

Just kind of seems like the same story, over and over.
Return missionary, unsure about what he wants to do with his life (just make something up if you're talking to me. Please.), either wants to marry the first girl he sees post-mish or plays girls like they're a musical instrument.

I just want someone who knows what they want to do with their life.
Someone who lives in the world and refrains from being of the world.
Someone who loves the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as much as I do.
Someone who is in no rush to get married, but certainly holds it as a priority.
Someone who doesn't care if I don't want to put on clothes and make-up, and appreciates my lazy desire to lounge in sweatpants and an over-sized t-shirt.
Someone who is 148% down for skipping dinner and just eating dessert.
Someone who laughs at my lame Mormon jokes.
Someone who calls me out on my ish (but someone who lets me win when I know I'm right - haha!).
Someone whose example encourages me to live a little better each day.

I might put a craigslist "missed connections" add.
Yeah?

Just kidding.

I went to Arizona for a brief trip and we actually had RM's that were being out tour guides for us because we didn't know anyone. And I totally saw them playing girls! I was astounded by the dating scene there. Mind you our YSA was in the under 100 members range (and that covered the whole province) so you couldn't get away with multiple girls a week or you wouldn't get one. BUT my list was the same as yours...and I got the BEST husband. And it was when I wasn't looking and was just focused on my own life. And I think you're really good at (from what I read) being you and doing stuff you love and need to do. And I really did make a list and when he came around and I looked back at the list...he was my list. So weird. And now I'll stop typing like a crazy lady.

but what if I am the player? haha just kidding. But I completely agree with your statements. I get really weirded out about the "d" word too.

how about you date my brother? He looks like Josh Groban, knows what he wants to do, and is the best brother in the entire world! And he's hating dating life too... He's coming down for Thanksgiving.... :) Ask Alex Crandall. :)
